log the hog is a workout log run by one person for a small group of friends and coworkers. It is not a business, it sells nothing, and it has no advertisers.

What is stored

Only what you type in, plus what the app needs to work:

• Your account — username, a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself), and optionally a bio, height, and profile photo.
• Your log — exercises, sets, reps, weights, dates, tags, rest days, and any notes you add.
• What you share — posts, captions, photos you upload, comments, likes, and who you follow.
• Sign-in tokens — when you sign in on a phone, the server keeps a hash of that device's token so it can recognise the device. You can revoke it by signing out.

What is not

• No analytics or tracking of any kind. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no crash reporter, no third-party SDK.
• No advertising, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.
• No location data. The app never asks for it.
• No access to your photo library. When you attach a photo, iOS shows you its own picker and hands over only the image you chose — the app cannot see anything else.

Who can see your log

Assume anything you post is public. The feed and the list of people are readable by anyone who visits the site — no account needed — so posts, captions, photos, usernames and the workouts attached to them can be seen by anyone with the link, and may be indexed by search engines.

There is a per-account visibility setting (private, followers only, or anyone), and the server does enforce it, but every account is currently set to the most open option. If you want your log kept back, ask and it will be changed.

Where it lives

One SQLite database on a single server in the United States, served over HTTPS. Backups are kept for seven days and then deleted.

Deleting your data

You can delete any workout, post, photo, or comment yourself, at any time. To delete your whole account, ask and it will be removed along with everything attached to it.

Children

The site is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

If what is collected ever changes, this page changes with it, and the date above moves.
